Inspired by Laurie Anderson’s work and her seminal spoken work piece "O Superman" which became synonymous with the expression of the developing relationship between humans and technology. With our enmeshing with technology over the last 40 years, O Superman is more relevant than ever. Now that AI technology is within our grasp, the notion of Superman (Übermensch) is being redefined as something external to us, something that can surpass us, yet we remain its humble parents. AI could help us move past our anthropocentric tendencies, but first we need to let go of our own ghosts in our machines - our egos.
