Belarusian verse “Slutsk weavers”

Maksim Bogdanovich (1891-1917) was a Belarusian poet who lived only 26 years, but left a great trace in Belarusian poetry. The poem “Slutsk weavers” was written in 1912 and is dedicated to the women artisans who created the famous Slutsk belts - luxurious fabrics that were famous far beyond the borders of Belarus. Slutsk belts were indeed an outstanding phenomenon of the Belarusian craft of the 18th century, produced for the nobility. However, their production was controlled by the elites, which symbolizes the conflict between “punishable” and “native” described in the poem. In creating this video I used the “talking head” generation in “Studio d-id”, which I then combined with videos recorded on iPhone8 in the program “CapCut”. All music was generated in “Suno ai”, pictures for the video landscapes in “Krea”, and the flights over the landscapes in “Luma”. Sorry for the quality, as I am using an old iPhone and editing on Apple Mac Mini 2012 :-)
